Frozen Yogurt Shop Likely for Blake Block

It looks like a Frozen Yogurt Store is coming to the Blake Block. According to the Massachusetts Corporations Division, a company was recently formed under the name Wicked Good Frozen Yogurt LLC at 80 Great Road.

While the name of the actual company is Wicked Good Frozen Yogurt, I'm guessing that the store may be a franchise for one of the national Frozen Yogurt Chains. Again just a guess.

With most of these stores, your given a large cup, you select the Soft-serve Yogurt you want from a selection of Self Serve Yogurt Dispensers and then add toppings if desired. It's then weighed to determine the price.

An example of Self Serve Frozen Yogurt machines. You select the flavor(s) you want.

Comment:
The past year have seen a large number of new Frozen Yogurt Stores. Yeh! Yogourt Glace and CafĂ© recently opened on Mall Road in Burlington while Lexington Center has added a Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt. This new Yogurt Shop will be located near Bedford Farms which offers both Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt. Attracting the High School kids after school will be a key factor in it's success. Offering a place to hang out (i.e. Couches and WiFi like many Starbucks) will probably be beneficial.

Yum! I was hoping they would put an ice cream shop there...this is even better. So so far it looks like Ginger and this yogurt shop for Blake Block retail. I remember that Bedford Rug wanted to return after renovations, I know he opened up shop down the road by the Carriage House cafe...do you know if he still plans to return? Thanks Adam, great updates!!

Way to go Bedford! We should only have all our empty buildings filled with competitive businesses like our surrounding towns do! Keep our Great town Of Bedford flourishing!!! Let's pray our town officials allow new growth to Bedford!!!

You've got to be kidding, Anon! Why does Bedford need a chain yogurt store when it already has Bedford Farms? Bedford Farms is owned and operated by a local Bedford family and has significantly contributed to our town for years. I predict a yogurt shop won't last more than a year paying Blake's inflated rent and competing with a local ice cream icon treasured by everyone in town.

Hi Anonymous,

I've gotten a few more details and it looks like the shop will not be a chain and is owned by Bedford residents. Stay tuned for more details.

I agree that Bedford Farms has contributed to the Town to make Bedford a better place.

Personally I think competition is a good thing.

When will the Blake Block be completed and opened?

Retail should be opening up this fall. I would expect the sidewalk to be completed next few weeks. It would be great to have an open house or something similar at Bedford Day.

Let's hope a great sandwich shop goes in there too. I can't wait to go for frozen yogurt and not have to travel to another town.
