Ken's NY Deli Set to Open this Month

Ken's NY Deli on the Blake Block at 82 Great Road is finally set to reopen later this month. The original restaurant closed in 2011 to make way for the new building. It was originally thought that Ken's would not return, but they ended up signing a new lease. Along with Deli items and sandwiches, the new restaurant will also include a brick oven for Pizza and other items.

Stay tuned for more details.

Now I heard this is not the same "Ken's NY Deli" as the one that closed, this is simply a brand new restaurant that is using the old name. Can anyone confirm this?

I know the current owner is James Garabedian. I should have more details shortly.

family relitives worked there. not he same people who prepared the food, or took the orders, or the original owners...cause the amount asked for was extremely high then originally agreed(original rent price). my paintings hung there at one point.

If it's not indeed the same owners, or anything why re-use the name? Trying to play it off like they are the same place as before?

I visited this weekend when they opened. They are not the same owners as before. These people owned a Ken's Deli in Burlington years ago on Rte 3A. Food is more expensive and you get less of it now. I'm disappointed.

Just for the record, the "original" owner of Ken's NY Deli reopened the store. All the food is the same if not better quality than before. Pizza is amazing and cant wait for them to get the beer and wine. Prices are great and you never leave hungry.

Our company CEO ate here yesterday and actually sent an email to our staff about how great the food was. He travels a lot and eats out all the time so a recommendation from him is worth listening to. His quote, "NY style deli sandwiches. Superb meat. My guess is that there are four ounces of meat in a half sandwich." And they have half sour pickles. Sounds GREAT!

This restaurant is recovering. I think many marketing methods should be applied to popularize them. For example one of the methods can apply on Black Friday Hits.
