A third version of the mixed use development for 54 Loomis Street will be unveiled next week. According to the developer, this new version is a major redesign based on feedback and concerns from the local neighborhood and the planning board. The new plan will be a mix of residential and retail.

I guess I don't understand why the neighbors would be upset? The row from Pizza Express to Page field is all run down houses with filthy yards..
At the last neighborhood meeting, the primary concern seemed to be the fact that they were going to be rental apartments. Most of the people attending wanted to have owner occupied units (aka condos).
